Friends and Family Day 2026

I hope you are excited about Friends and Family Day. We are looking forward to Brother Redd coming and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. What can I do to make this effort successful?


Pray: Pray for those who will lead us in worship. Pray for us as we worship that we might glorify God. Pray for our visitors that this might be an opportunity for a door to Jesus to be opened. I am sure you can think of plenty of other things to pray for. Philippians 4:6

Invite: We would love for you to invite those friends and family from other congregations. It will be a blessing to worship with them. What friends and family do you have that do not go to church? What neighbors and coworkers do not know the Lord? How about inviting the fellow who fixes your plumbing or the young lady who rings up your sale at the store? Use this excuse to invite people. It just might make an eternal difference. Matthew 28:18-20

Worship: We should always bring our best to worship God. I want to sing like I am redeemed. I want to study the word of God because this is what the One who loved me so much gave me. I want my mind to be active during the prayer, thinking about the things that are mentioned. I want to take the Lord’s Supper, remembering the high price that was paid for my sins and looking and longing for the One who died for me. Matthew 4:10

Fellowship: I want to enjoy the beautiful fellowship I have with so many friends and family that will be here, but I also want to practice hospitality to those I do not know. How would you feel if you were visiting a church for the first time? Would you want a warm reception by the congregation or a chilly one? We might have some who are visiting for the first time. Look for them and reach out to them. Maybe that is in class, worship, or the fellowship meal. Show them the love of Christ. Acts 2:42
